As President of Heath Design Group, Mike oversees and participates in all facets of the firm's day-to-day operations and financial decisions. This allows the architects and designers to focus on delivering creative and responsible design solutions and the highest level of client satisfaction.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. His extensive background in the financial and commercial real estate industries has helped successfully build Heath Design Group’s presence and portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Mike is past President of the Historic Charles Street Association, Treasurer/Past President of the Cornell Club of Maryland, a member of the Cornell University Council, and formerly served on the boards of both the Charles Street Development Corporation and the Downtown Management Authority. \\ Email Michael
Brian D. Laug, AIA, NCARB,
A graduate of The University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Architecture, Brian serves as the Managing and Design Principal of Heath Design Group. Brian’s responsiveness, integrity and commitment to principal involvement have greatly shaped the firm’s culture over the past 16 years. Brian’s portfolio encompasses a broad spectrum, including corporate office, healthcare, retail and industrial projects.

Director of Interior Design
Chung’s diverse background includes senior living, residential, corporate office, educational and healthcare design. With over 15 years of experience in the architecture and design industry, Chung has been instrumental in the success of numerous key projects in the Baltimore region; including the renovation of Tessco Technologies corporate headquarters in Timonium, Maryland and the new McHenry Row development in South Baltimore.
Chung is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art. Chung’s comprehensive knowledge of detailing allows for the manipulation of three dimensional interior volumes rather than simply selecting the applied finishes. Most importantly, Chung knows that it is the designer’s ability to actively listen to the client’s need that is the catalyst for inspiring a great design.
